Lake Tanganyika

Tanganyikan cichlids represent the “second wave” of discoveries from Africa’s great lakes. There were early challenges to overcome both in their collection and captive maintenance. Aquarists now have access to a broad range of wild and tank-raised species, ensuring their place in the hobby.
